An exciting new creative collaboration comes to Sun Pier House in June 2027, bringing together three distinctive artistic voices in an exhibition conceived especially for the venue.
The Traveller's Tale unites sculptor and poet Crystal D. Evans, painter Nathan Roll and folk singer-songwriter Sam Brothers in an exploration of the journeys we undertake, the stories we inherit and the landscapes of human experience.
Drawing on myth, memory, identity and the poetry of everyday life, the artists weave together sculpture, painting, photographic poetry and live folk music to create an immersive dialogue between image, material, word and sound.
More than a conventional group exhibition, Traveller's Tales is a meeting of creative practices, where individual perspectives converge to reveal shared human truths.
Visitors are invited to reflect on the roads travelled, the stories carried and the unexpected connections that make us who we are.

I was recently interviewed by Nina Harrison Leins, Exhibitions Manager of Holburne Museum, at Roseberry Road Studios in Bath during my solo show What Remains. The conversation explored the core concerns of my practice — how narrative is shaped by perception, how memory and identity intertwine, and how no viewer encounters a work of art neutrally.
We discussed topics ranging from phenomenology and narrative bias to the role of embodied experience in completing an artwork. The audience’s reflections and questions added depth to the discussion, highlighting how dialogue can extend the life of a piece beyond the studio.
I’m grateful to Nina for hosting such an insightful conversation and to everyone who attended for sharing their perspectives. Events like this reaffirm the power of art as a space for connection, reflection, and shared meaning-making.
